EMILY HOLT CROCKER | Composer/Author/Conductor Welcome to my composer page for ACDA! I'm so sorry we can't connect in person this year, but I thank you for stopping by.  Happy to chat via  email Facebook Twitter In the meantime, I hope you will take this opportunity to explore my most recent compositions and my new sight-reading method: Sound Patterns for Beginning Choirs . (Hint, coming in 2021 Sound Patterns for the Changing Voice ) SOUND PATTERNS FOR THE BEGINNING CHOIR Imagine - learning to sight read while having fun! Singers will grasp concepts quickly while singing “real music” from day one. This step-by-step method includes fun songs with lyrics, dynamics, and accompaniment, along with prepatory exercises that are interesting, authentic, and flexible. This resource may be used with beginners of any age. The sequential approach focuses on the keys of C, F, and G major, basic rhythms, and simple intervals in the tonic, dominant, and subdominant chords. More info/Purchase...

New Collection for Tenor Bass Choir

Image
Music in the Air Collection for Tenor Bass Chorus If you are looking for a great value, this collection for Middle School Tenor Bass Voices fits the bill. Five songs are artfully arranged with attention given to range, tessitura and part-writing to make learning a breeze. The Tenor part is really more of a cambiata part and the Baritone part is very moderate in terms of range. Young singers like to be challenged and I hope these pieces will fit their voices and provide a creative challenge that will enliven the learning going on in your classrooms!
